All nationally accredited units of competency are published on a national register, training.gov.au. The way that units are presented on the national register is not designed to be Student friendly, however it is important that you understand that the register exists and that you can look it up if you like.

The target Student for HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation has the following characteristics:
• At least 18 years of age
• Working in the health sector
This Student profile has been developed following market research and analysis, and is known to require and benefit from the course described.
Any Applicant who does not meet this profile, or who meets only components of the profile, is not automatically prevented from enrolling in the course, however these Applicants will be assessed prior to entry to ensure that the course will meet their specific requirements.

Delivery Method
This course will be delivered using a blended methodology. The delivery strategy used in this methodology is a combination of self-study and direct contact between student and trainer. The majority of the training to be delivered during this course will be divided between a classroom or simulated environment and a self-study environment.
Career Pathways
There are no specific career pathways associated with this unit of study. The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that a First Aid course be completed every three years and a CPR refresher every twelve months.
